Why choose Marble Fireplaces/Vanity Units
Having Marble means that they will last a lifetime. Although Marble is a fairly soft stone, it is strong and hard-wearing. It is a tough material that can cope with a great deal of use.
Marble has been for thousands of years for both decorative and functional purposes, making it a natural beauty. It is popular all over the world for many different uses.
Things to consider
Marble is rarely used for Kitchen Worktops. This is due to it’s lack of durability. However, we do fit Marble into some homes for uses such as Fireplaces and Bathroom Vanity Units.
Although Marble is hard-wearing, it does need to be more cared for than other surfaces. For example, if you spill a glass of red wine onto the surface you will need to make sure that it is wiped up straight away to avoid any lasting damage.
You will also need to be careful of any knocks, scratches, and etching that comes with owning Marble.
Keeping Marble clean means that you need to do a few things. First, make sure it is sealed professionally when it is installed and then every six months or so. This may not guarantee complete protection so means that you should still wipe any spills straight away, especially if these spills are anything acidic.
Secondly, clean marble using hot soapy water and a soft cloth. Buff the area dry to avoid any water marks.
